You can arrange the Basic Bread recipe and enjoy different variations of bread! The biggest difference is the forming, the rest is nearly same. Let me share a few examples that you may try.

Hot Dog Bun

  • After resting the dough for 10min, form the dough as shown below
  • Place the seam side up and press with your hand to make a round shape
  • Use the Rolling pin to shape the dough into an oval shape
  • Fold 1/3 towards the middle, then 1/3 from the other side
  • Fold it to half size using 1 finger to push in the excess of dough in the middle and try to fill in the space so there is not much air in the middle part
  • Make sure the seam is closed tightly
  • Use both palms to roll the dough onto the Baking Mat to make the shape smooth
  • Place them on the Baking tray lined with Cooking Liner/Baking Paper with seam facing down
  • Spray a bit of water and cover with plastic wrap, then Proof the dough until they become about twice the size (Around 30-40 min)
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F) around 10min before the Proofing is finished and place the Baking tray without plastic wrap into the oven and bake for 13-15 min

Cheese Roll

  • After resting the dough for 10min, form the dough as shown below
  • Place the seam side up and press with your hand to make a round shape
  • Use the Rolling pin to shape the dough into a bigger round shape
  • Place the cheese (shredded or cut ones) in the center of the dough
  • Wrap the cheese as shown below
  • Make sure the seam is closed tightly
  • Place them on the Baking tray lined with Cooking Liner/Baking Paper with the seam facing down
  • Spray a bit of water and cover with plastic wrap, then Proof the dough until they become about twice the size (Around 30-40 min)
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F) around 10min before the Proofing is finished
  • Use scissors to cut the surface of the formed dough like a little cross 
  • Place the Baking tray without plastic wrap into the oven and bake for 13-15 min

Fig & Walnuts Bread

  • After resting the dough for 10min, form the dough as shown below
  • Place the seam side up and press with your hand to make a round shape
  • Use the Rolling pin to shape the dough into a bigger round shape
  • Place the chopped dried fig & walnuts all over the dough
  • Press the filling lightly into the dough using the Rolling pin
  • Roll the dough like a stick shape and put both ends together
  • Then form them in a ball shape and make sure the surface is smooth and seam is closed tightly
  • Press the ball shaped dough with your hand to make it slightly flat
  • Use scissors to cut 5 points, around 1cm (1/2 in) each and decorate with extra piece of walnut
  • Place them on the Baking tray lined with Cooking Liner/Baking Paper with the seam facing down
  • Spray a bit of water and cover with plastic wrap, then Proof the dough until they become about twice the size (Around 30-40 min)
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F) around 10min before the Proofing is finished and place the Baking tray without plastic wrap into the oven and bake for 13-15 min

Sausage Boat

  • After resting the dough for 10min, form the dough as shown below
  • Form a Hot Dog Bun shape and use both palms to roll the dough onto the Baking Mat into a long rope shape (2.5 times length of the sausage)
  • Stick and close 2 ends tightly to make the boat shape
  • Put the sausage in the boat
  • Place them on the Baking tray lined with Cooking Liner/Baking Paper with the seam facing down
  • Spray a bit of water and cover with plastic wrap, then Proof the dough until they become about twice the size (Around 30-40 min)
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F) around 10min before the Proofing is finished
  • Decorate with a topping like ketchup, mustard, cheese, basil, etc. up to your liking
  • Place the Baking tray without plastic wrap in the oven and bake for 13-15 min

These are just few examples only, you can create any kind of bread with your imagination!!!
