What inspired you to start Warung Mbok Jamu?
I was bored 😅. Until someone told me why don’t I just cook for people especially friends who misses Indonesian food during this time where we can’t travel home
What is your favourite recipe or popular dish?
Ketupat Sayur Betawi (Young Papaya, Chayote and Long bean Indonesian Curry served with Rice cakes & Crackers), Bubur Ayam Kuah Kuning (Chicken congee in yellow gravy) and our new addition in the menu is Nasi Padang ( Padangnese spicy mix rice with Rendang, Kale Curry, Egg Sambal, and green chilli). These 3 are always a big hit.
What has been you most exciting or memorable moments?
My exciting moments are when after all the hectic cooking and delivering day, people starts messaging you about how happy they are with the dish I cooked or reading all the testimonials they post on Instagram. It really made my day! And it makes me happy to spread the joy like that.
What advice would you give to others who wish to try out similar experiences?
Don’t be afraid to try something new or put yourself out there! When you do things that you love and passionate about, you will find your happiness. Start with baby steps and see where it takes you.
