The”Ponte dei Salti” stone bridge charm over the picture-perfect Valle Verzasca with its turquoise, emerald green water running below it. Diving into the crystal clear water is like creating little moments of magic in our lives. It
is truly an unforgettable experience.
The whole area is like a fairy tale! Beautiful nature and fun! We recommend that you come early in the morning then there is not much people! The water is crystal clear and very cold. Dive in the cold water of the river and you will
feel “reborn”
Ponte Del Salti Bridge
The Roman double arch stone bridge at Ponte dei Salti that runs over this pristine river is one of the biggest draws in Verzasca Valley. This bridge was originally built in the 16th century to replace an ancient roman bridge. It was demolished partially in 1868 and was rebuilt in the 1960. The Bridge is located next to the charming Lavertezzo village and can be reached from Milan by car in 2 hours. While you are here you could include a hiking trip along the river and a visit to Lavertezzo and Sonogno village.
Crystal Clear Water
Leap of Charm
It is awesome just watching daring people jump from the bridge into the clearest, bluest water below. It’s also a great swimming place, with few rapids and tons of rocks to lay on.
Vincent, without hesitation, is the first to jump.
If you have the courage, jumping from the rocks or bridge is a great experience. In summer there could be hundreds watching and cheering below.
I went up and down the rocks many times to show my hesitation and to increase the drama. When I finally jumped, you could hear the roar.
Lavertezzo Village
The romantic village of Lavertezzo (545 metres) with its characteristic stone buildings is a small village with a valley and mountains along the river Verzasca in the Swiss canton Ticino.
This is one of the most beautiful places you could visit if you near Locarno. If you love nature and outdoors this is the place for you. The amazing colour of the water and the views are incredible everywhere you look.
A great area to hike, swim, jump or just sit a one of the small cafes in town and enjoy the atmosphere. We spent few hours just wandering around, taking pictures as well as having our lunch.
